The Feel Good Love Song

Verse 1
Well, I feel good and I feel fine
I think it’s really love this time
Mom and dad appreciate
That I have got a steady date…I tell them

Chorus
I’m in love, yes I’m in love
Oh I’m in love, yeah I’m in love
Well I’m in Luh-uh-uh-uh-ove
Oh I’m in love, yeah I’m in love

Verse 2
I think that she may be the one
My lovely blossom in the sun
Two and one we’ll be complete
I’ll even kneel and kiss her feet

Chorus
I’m in love, yes I’m in love
Oh I’m in love, yeah I’m in love
Well I’m in Luh-uh-uh-uh-ove
Oh I’m in love, yeah I’m in love

Bridge
It’s a beautiful day to be alive
It’s a beautiful day to realize

Chorus
I’m in love, yes I’m in love
Oh I’m in love, yeah I’m in love
Well I’m in Luh-uh-uh-uh-ove
Oh I’m in love, yeah I’m in love

Chorus
I’m in love, yes I’m in love
Oh I’m in love, yeah I’m in love
Well I’m in Luh-uh-uh-uh-ove
Oh I’m in love, yeah I’m in love

Written in 1995 in Bolivar, Missouri. Originally performed by Elysian Field. Recorded by Daystar in SBU’s Pike Auditorium with Jeff Weiss as the sound engineer. I wrote this song as a homage to my mother, who was more interested in me finding a wife than I was at the time. I especially love this recorded version because Dusty Jones did some great ad-lib backup vocals and the band screwed up during the recording… Jeff Irwin then on the spot pulled off a great re-intro groove and the band picked up as if nothing had gone wrong at all!

  1. Dude, that’s so fun! You’ve got a good voice and a great, funky style to that song. I had no idea, other than your poems, that you were musical. No offense of course. 🙂 Copyrighted and everything? Now all you need is a real band to play that. 😉

    I like these faces >:o
